Up to 3 could be blacklisted by any player. I checked the older SC2 blog ad that indeed had a map blacklist function in it. So automated tournaments work more easily there. While this game is team based, SC2 is more 1v1. In the comments of that thread another poster mentioned the automated tournament system in SC2. Considering that Heroes centres very heavily around map objectives, it makes sense to allow players to eliminate ones that they don't like for whatever reason, if at all possible.Over at the HoTS reddit today, someone made a thread abt weekly tournaments. I would just like to hope that, when it makes sense for the game and won't cause negative repercussions with queue times or matchmaking, that they investigate it because there are a lot of maps people have strong feelings about. And even if they decide they want to, that doesn't mean they will be able to implement it in a way that doesn't hurt other things. They said it was something they think and talk about, but that's far from a promise. Considering that Heroes centres very heavily around map objectives, it makes sense to allow players to eliminate ones that they don't like for whatever reason, if at all possible. Right now, matchmaking is not doing so well on a lot of levels, but when the new system is implemented they may have enough improvement in this area to make it possible.

The other concern with blacklisting maps - aside from there just not being enough of them - is also the matchmaking queues. I don't know if the former is any indication, however. At most I see a pick/ban phase for maps in ranked modes.I can definitely see it in ranked modes. Seeing how they started rotating out the maps themselves I doubt we'll ever get a blacklist function.
